I think the front cover is absolutely beautiful, as with all of the covers for Cassasndra Clare’s books, but this one was definitely in the running to be my favourite! Jones as more humorous, even though as an adult some of the language can get a tad annoying and is pretty unrealistic for someone in kindergarten. I fall on the other side of the argument and see Junie B. If you agree with that side, this book probably isn’t for you. Some people think that she is a bad role model young children. Her incorrect grammar and crazy behavior drives some parents crazy. People either seem to love or hate Junie B. receives a special valentine, she tries to solve the mystery and discover her secret admirer. But I can see that the author is setting up everything and Auren's character is definitely going to develop from here on out. Unfortunately for majority of the book, things like that happen which I hated and because of that I just really can't give this a higher rating. It is hard to rate this though because of all the abuse that happens in here, and so obviously I didn't enjoy those parts. I mean I was supposed to be angry, anyone would with the terrible events and characters in Gild. ![]() ![]() I was debating over my rating for awhile but then I realized that while I was angry understatement over a lot of things that happened in here, I didn't completely hate this. Anyone who plans to read this-make sure to look at the trigger warnings and prepare yourself. I knew this was going to be dark, but ahaha I wasn't expecting this□ This is definitely adult. Literally so many times I had to put the book down and stop reading because of the disturbing scenes like wow does this have all the trigger warnings out there.
